The Weekly Wind Down #35
Wine tasting with Delta airlines, planning Vegas outfits, and a sunny 10k walk.
Hiya Huns,
How are we all doing? What an absolutely glorious week it has been. The sun has been shining and setting later, making the days longer; it’s funny how much this changes your mood.
I’ve been good, thank you (that’s me thinking you asked how I was). It’s been a very nice-paced week, despite the tube strikes, which unfortunately meant I had to miss some press days and work events.
But let’s get into what I’ve been up to.
Sincerely, This Week:
We’re jumping straight into Wednesday, as Monday and Tuesday were standard writing days, with working out (not that exciting).
But before that. The Practical Magic 2 trailer dropped on Tuesday, and if any of you remember, Sandra Bullock was filming where I lived last year for it, so of course, I watched it to see if I could see any scenes, and there was one! It was so cool to see. I’m intrigued by how much they use within the film.
On Wednesday afternoon, I had a meeting with a new potential client to discuss potentially styling them for future events. If you haven’t been to WatchHouse coffee shop, it’s a great place for work meetings, which is more professional than sitting in a Starbucks or Pret.
Following this, I then ventured over to London Bridge to do some remote working, before enjoying an evening of wine tasting with Delta airline.
The event was hosted at Prosecco House, right by Tower Bridge, where I got to meet some members of the Delta team who had come over from the US. Then it was on to the wine tasting part of the evening, where Delta’s Master Sommelier, Andrea Robinson, guided us through the Delta One in-flight wine selection, sharing insights into the inspiration behind each wine, how they complement Delta’s onboard dining menus, and the unique considerations of taste at altitude. Did any of you know that are tastebuds react differently once up in the air? I never realised or thought about it, haha. It was a brilliant event of networking and, of course, enjoying the delicious wine.
Jump forward to Saturday, where Gabriel and I did a big Spring clean of the flat. I always find this quite therapeutic. When I’m having a bit of an anxious day, I tend to find myself finding something to clean or tidy to keep my mind from wandering. We then decided to go for a long 10K walk in the beautiful sunshine before returning home and making homemade beef burgers with bacon, blue cheese and ranch sauce for dinner - honestly, incredible.
Sunday was spent designing and coming up with outfit plans for some exciting events we’re doing whilst in Las Vegas. So, the sewing machine will be making its way out again, and the creative juices will be flowing. Watch this space to see what I’m working on for us.
What You’ve Missed:
The Moodboard:
Watching: Real Housewives of Rhode Island - If you haven’t already started watching the brand new Real Housewives franchise, then you must. The Rhode Island cast showed up and delivered in just the first few episodes in a way that Real Housewives has been missing as of late. The cast is brilliant, with a range of backgrounds and personalities, and the drama kicks off straight away. My fave has to be Lizzie, and, of course, my fave, Delores from New Jersey, pops up a lot as a friend of hers.
Listening to: Zara Larson - Summer 2026 well and truly belongs to Zara Larson. Her album Midnight Sun is filled with absolute bangers. The types of songs that you want to roll down the windows of your car and sing at the top of your lungs. My faves are obviously Midnight Sun, Pretty Ugly and Saturn’s Return. Also, if you haven’t watched her documentary on Prime, then it’s a brilliant watch to see her journey and how she fully manifested her success. It’s very inspiring.
Drinking: The Andy and The Miranda from Starbucks - To celebrate the upcoming release of The Devil Wears Prada 2, Starbucks released four new limited-edition coffees relating to each one of the main characters. Gabriel went for “The Andy”, which is a cappuccino with oat milk, 2 pumps of caramel syrup and cinnamon powder. He said, “I do love an oat latte and a pumpkin spiced latte, so this felt very much like me. The caramel syrup and cinnamon really change the flavour, quite oaty at first (I know, but weirdly more oat tasting than the standard one), but after a few sips it’s definitely a good choice and feels very autumnal too.” Whilst I chose “The Miranda”. Everyone who knows me knows I love coffee, and a strong hit is just what this option did. It took a usual late and gave it an extra punch, which at first took me aback, but after that it was pretty much my usual order, so I’m taking that as I’m basically Miranda…right?
The Edit:
My skin has been so up and down lately with the constant weather changes, working out more, change of skincare, etc., which means more breakouts, redness, and my complexion has been losing its shine.
Well, that was before this little beauty entered my life, the BYOMA Bio-Collagen Radiance Facial Mask. I don’t think I’ve ever tried a face mask in my career that delivers such amazing results.
You pop the jelly mask on for 20-30 minutes, wait for it to go from a candyfloss pink to clear so you know it’s dry, and then you peel it off, leaving behind a glowing skin.
I put this on my Instagram story a week ago, and everyone was asking for details. Well, this is it, pals. This little beauty works wonders to lock in the skin’s moisture, improves the texture, and fights signs of redness. It’s honestly my new favourite face mask.

Sincerely, Me:
It’s been a funny week this week. Funny in terms of I’ve followed my quote from last week’s newsletter, and weirdly been living in the present, and as you guys will know, I don’t do that very often, haha.
I’ve been taking things as they come, not getting ahead of myself.
I’ve been relaxed and not worrying.
I’ve been focusing on myself.
I’ve been letting the Universe do her thing.
If this is what it feels like, then I need to do it more because it feels great!
Here’s to a new week of living our best lives, appreciating the small things and trying to see the positives in situations.
Quote for the week: “The greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his future by merely changing his attitude.” – Oprah Winfrey
